Hart Davis Hart’s two day April Auction of Finest & Rarest Wines commanded a total of $9,806,887, easily surpassing the pre-sale low estimate of $6,608,049. The sale achieved a strong 100% sell-through rate over 2190 lots. Burgundy continues to command impressively high hammers, while Bordeaux and Champagne also remain near historic highs. Italy made an especially strong showing in this sale, often receiving numerous competitive live bids to hammer well above the high estimates.
